Nursing / Medical Services
At Oceanside Care Center, we provide resident-centered care where the resident, or their designated representative, remains in charge of making health care decisions. Our nursing staff, made up of certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses, knows our residents. Our resident-centered philosophy enables our interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care that is individualized to meet each resident’s needs and preferences, and each resident is encouraged to function at the highest level possible. |

With the small size of our facility it is possible for meaningful relationships to form between our staff members, residents and family members. Many of our staff have worked at Oceanside for over 25 years and take pride in the care they provide. Residents respond positively to our staff because of the quality of life they are able to achieve - our residents thrive at Oceanside.
Our medical staff routinely evaluates our residents. Specialty care provided in the facility include audiology, cardiology, dentistry, neurology, orthopedics, podiatry, psychiatry services, lab services and radiology. We have a wonderful wound care program that boasts impressive healing successes. Our vascular surgeon rounds with our wound care team on a weekly basis.
TLC Program: Oceanside Care Center offers a special program for residents who have Alzheimer’s or Dementia. Trained, dedicated staff provide care for those residents with Alzheimer’s or Dementia who require more 1:1 attention. There are 15 residents, on average, who participate in this program. Activities are geared to the resident’s functional level, and reality orientation, era-appropriate music, and a reminiscence program is offered.
